Green and Growing

As most of you know, we built our house from bottom up a little over 2 years ago. We are slowly working on the outside of our home and making it beautiful. Last year we did a little landscaping, but this year we are going full force with it. I've planted over 50 impatiens and also a few other annuals.

Last year we planted some of the Dogwood Bushes and found that they did very well. They are pretty inexpensive {around $10/bush} and are growing nicely. The first year is always lots of watering and not too much growing, but this year they are coming in much more full. I bought a few more for our newly landscaped areas.

Do you have any advice for me? Remember, we live in the woods so I need plants and flowers that grow well in shade. Any advice for growing good impatiens?
