Ella's Big News

Happy Sunday dear readers!

We wanted to let all of our friends and family know some big news about Ella. First of all, she is turning her head over all by herself when she is on her tummy (which she loves!) -- Carter did this very quickly as well, but I think little Ell-bell has beat him on this skill.

When little Ella was born, the doctors and nurses quickly noticed that her feet were turned in. The doctors were not sure whether this was from her positioning in the womb or signs of club feet. We chose not to say much about this until we were sure.

On December 23rd we went to Riley Children's Hospital (so blessed to be close to Riley) to see Dr. Loder with the casting clinic. Dr. Loder told us that Ella definitely has club feet, but he also reassured us that she will be fine in just a short amount of time! So...Ella now has casts on her legs -- we like to call them her "snow legs" :)

The casts will be changed every week for 4-6 weeks, then onto some more exciting things. Ella is doing great with the casts - it is wild how a baby can adapt to so many changes when they are born. Other than this little issue, Ella is perfect in every way. We will keep everyone updated with weekly changes for Ella! Enjoy the picture of Ella's first pair of snow legs :)
