Today was a snow day...inside all day long! One fussy little bundle and another full of energy. I got this comic from a friend today and thought it was fitting...ha! The lady is saying "So, how was your day?"
I hope we get to take Carter out in the snow before it melts. Memaw got him snow-gear for Christmas and I know he will look so cute and be extra warm in it. As of right now, he has been into everything today. He found the game-boys that we bought forever ago, and could sit forever just changing the games in and out and turning them on and off. I went through his toys today and decided to give a BUNCH of them to the Goodwill or to another family in need. If you want them, let me know!
Ell-bell is doing pretty good today. A little cranky at times, but that is to be expected. Dr. Loder was talking to me yesterday about how they will actually over correct her feet, and the nurse said "she will be Charlie Chaplin for awhile"...I'm thinking of ways to make the barred shoes cute, haha! It just doesn't seem fair to put a beautiful little girl in those not-so-cute shoes...but we will cope with that when it comes.
Interesting enough, I have found out that a lot of friends have had this same issue...very encouraging to hear their stories! Hopefully I can get some good snow-action pictures to post soon. Happy Winter!

I stumbled onto your blog today and wanted to say hello. My son (now 7 yrs old) was born with a left clubfoot as well as nerve damage. In the beginning, his foot was treated the same as all clubfoot kids, but due to the nerve damage, there has been more extensive work done and it is still on going.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say that Ella's feet are looking nice after three casts! Yay! Is she scheduled for a tenotomy? Or is the doctor waiting to see? When is she going into the shoes and bar? Do you have the option of the Dobbs bar? We did not but I have seen it and all I can say is WOW.
My son Matthew had a tenotomy done at 4 1/2 m and then wore the shoes and bar. He was diagnosed with nerve damage at 15 m and started wearing an AFO. He has had numerous surgeries and castings since then (due to the nerve damage). He has been seeing Dr Dobbs in St Louis for almost a year now with fantastic results.
